Hey Missy Jill!
It has been awhile since I have visited your site. I read through your August posts this morning while enjoying a vacation day. I drool over your photography. I want to eat them. (Except for the squirrels, but the weeds look good enough to eat!)
I would like to put your blog on my site in my blog list. My son is home from Florida and can help me navigate that. I am still learning how to do all this. Would you mind?
Speaking of my son, he is home looking for work. His online portfolio address is www.marantettejames.blogspot.com. It would be wonderful if you or your husband could take a peek.
I've missed you. It looks like you are all doing great. Your kids look happy and healthy. What a blessing. You are giving your children such an amazing gift...YOURSELF!
Love,
Tina

I don't have your email address so I'm contacting you in this manner. I read your blog often and think It's delicious. The photography is so good and the writing is super. Reminds me of some of Jean Sheppards work.[The author of The Christmas Story]. Maybe you saw the movie. Anyway--Just wanted to say hello and greetings from your aunt and uncle. Love from Aunt Babs and Uncle Tommie

I can SO see myself where you are when that time comes for me. I'm glad to know someone who has gone before me! Take notes, because I'm going to need them. Maybe you should write a book. Do any books exist on this subject? I've never thought to look. I'm so glad coming here is rewarding for you, thank you for letting me know. It's encouraging because, as I'm sure you know, sometimes you never know if anyone reads your blog! We are off to the local fair today--MANY pictures to come.

Dear MissyJill,
I've been up to my ears in teenager/high school stuff and have not visited you lately. Your blog brings back so many memories. I miss the times that you are in right now, but don't have the energy if I could get those years back. Life can be a little sad sometimes...I think of Ecclesiasties, a season for everything. This is a time for me to reflect, be thankful, look for new ways to grow and reach out, to have a new "purpose." Sometimes I question in my mind, "What's my purpose?" After so many years of having a very deep and personal purpose to raise my children by being home with them, I felt lost when our oldest went away to college. Two years later I can say that new things are looming in the horizon; life is still young and to be lived with enthusiasm and purpose. The years you have with your children are such a gift, just a breath of time. You know that full well, and it shows in the happy faces of your children. They have a deep rooted security and knowledge that they are loved!
With Love,
Tina

Thank you for bringing back so many memories of my own. Your blogs brought to mind the forts, the digging, the jumping, the dog squeezing, hair cuttung days of raising my children. My first born is gone, my second has only one more year of H.S. I loved all the years from baby through teenager. (Except newborns-very scary!) Mother hood is such a gift and high calling. It looks like you have it well handled!
With thanks,Tina
